Un grand coup de cœur pour cette église fortifiée, au centre de Simorre, dans le Gers.
Nous ne résistons pas à l’envie de vous la présenter…
Cette église a été construite entre 1292 et 1309 par les moines Bénédictins et les Simorrains.
Nous joignons une photo de la plaque que vous pourrez lire à l’intérieur de l’église, pour une histoire plus complète.
Cette cache ( une "drive-in") a été notre premier grand défi à la discrétion…. Jamais nous n’avions placé de "trésor" aussi exposé.... Il a d'ailleurs fini par disparaître, presque un an plus tard... Nous l'avons donc replacé ailleurs et cette fois loin des foules... Mais elle reste une "drive-in" !
Pour y arriver, prenez le Chemin Saint-Nicolas et garez vous devant le cimetière, au waypoint indiqué. Le "trésor" n'est pas loin !
Le 19 janvier 2011 : 3ème essai.. Toujours le même trajet pour arriver à la cache, mais changement de position...

We fell for this fortified church, in the centre of Simorre, in Gers.
We don’t resist the urge to introduce it to you….
This church was built between 1292 and 1309 by Benedictine monks and the inhabitants of Simorre. We join a photo of the plate you will be able to read in the church, for a more complete history.
This cache (a drive-in) was our first big challenge to discretion…. Never had we placed a more exposed "treasure"…And eventually, it disappeared, almost a year later....So, we placed it elsewhere and this time away from the crowds ... But it remains a "drive-in cache"!
To get there, take "Chemin Saint-Nicolas" and park in front of the cemetary, at the indicated waypoint. The "treasure" is not far away!
