#4th cache in the Bucharest old churches series The church from “Selari” is situated in the historical center of Bucharest, not far from "Hanul cu Tei" [Lime's inn]
The first church was build in the XVI-XVII centuries in an of the oldest Bucharest's outskirts. Since then it was rebuild several times; important names in Romanian history contribute with donation for restorations / rebuilds - the most known: king Carol I.
In 1816, in the houses build around the church, there was a school for religious music and then the first printing house for religious music in the oriental orthodox world.

Don't hesitate to enter inside the church. You can admire the beautiful paintings; you'll find also a quite place in the heart of the city.
