Bonnie's Bridge - a small geocache located near to Ramsbottom.
The cache is located near to the footpath that runs along the east side of the River Irwell from Ramsbottom to Stubbins.
The footpath is part of the Irwell Sculpture Trail, and is a pleasant walk - especially on one of those warm Summer days. The footpath can be muddy and boggy at times - so please wear the appropriate footwear.
The cache is named after our first dog - Bonnie, as this is where I used to take her when she was a puppy. You could combine this cache with others. The cache is not near the bridge - but hopefully you will be encouraged to walk further along the path to it and then along to Stubbins. There are some good examples of stone slabs being used as a boundary further on. Nearby is the Soap factory - discernable by its tall chimney, and at the cache site you may get a wiff of soap.
The cache is located down a small dip - so please be careful when going down to it. Also the river is nearby - so please be careful.
The cache could be combined with others - to make a good walk, or you could do this as a single.
