Floorball Cache #1 - Tatran Stresovice Traditional Geocache

  Florbal se v ceských zemích poprvé objevil díky výmennému pobytu studentu VŠE v Praze se studenty helsinské univerzity v roce 1984. Finové si s sebou do Cech privezli sadu florbalových hokejek, která byla využita v historicky prvním zápase mezi Finy a Cechy na pude telocvicny VŠE. Pri svém odjezdu Finové hokejky u nás zanechali, a tak zacala první éra florbalu u nás, kdy skupina kolem Michala Bauera a Petra Chaloupky hrála do té doby, než se jim podarilo darované hokejky znicit. A protože nové hokejky u nás nebylo možné koupit, nastalo u nás znovu florbalové bezcasí.
  Druhý a mnohem úspešnejší pokus o florbalové zacátky se odehrál až v roce 1991. V tomto roce bratri Vaculíkové díky cestovní kancelári Excalibur Tours privezli ze Švédska florbalové vybavení. Díky tomu se florbal zacal rozvíjet, a to hlavne ve Strešovicích. Zde byl založen místní florbalový oddíl pri TJ Tatran Strešovice. A posléze se do hraní znovu pustili bývalí studenti VŠE.
  Velkým milníkem se stal zájezd strešovických hrácu do Madarska, kde získali první opravdové florbalové mantinely. Díky tomu se mohly zacít porádat opravdové turnaje a souteže.
  V roce 1993 se odehrál první rocník florbalové ligy a behem nekolik dalších let infiltrovala tato rychlá hra do dalších oblastí Cech, zejména do Ostravy, Liberce a Brna.

  Florbalový oddíl Tatran Strešovice je již od svých pocátku spjatý se jmény bratru Vaculíku. Události vedoucí k založení klubu byly cástecne popsány výše. V soucasnosti pusobí v oddíle odhadem 500 hrácu ve 22 družstvech. Rozptyl vekových a výkonnostních kategorií je maximální - od elitního týmu mužu pres družstva mládežnická i detská až po hráce hendikepované hrající ligu vozíckáru. Družstva Tatranu se pravidelne úcastní Poháru Mistru Evropských zemí, finálových boju domácího poháru CFbU a dalších i zahranicních turnaju.
  Z dalších aktivit, které se stojí za povšimnutí, jmenujme každorocní porádání prestižního klubového turnaje Czech Open, na kterém se pravidelne od roku 1999 utkávají ty nejlepší týmy z celého sveta stejne jako družstva z nižších lig. Jeho obdobami pro mládežnické a veteránské kategorie jsou turnaje Prague Games a Prague Masters.
  Behem historie ligových souteží získali hráci a hrácky Tatranu 28 titulu mistra Ceské republiky. Mužský A tým vyhrál 14 z celkových 18 rocníku nejvyšší florbalové ligy. Ve finálové sérii poslední sezony vyhrál Tatran nad FBC Ostrava 3:2 na zápasy po výsledcích T vs. O (2:3 9:7 4:6 6:5 a 9:8). Zajímavostí je, že ve všech trech utkáních, které Tatran nakonec vyhrál, prohrával ješte 7 minut pred koncem základní hrací doby. V posledním zápase prohrával už 3:8 a srovnal na 8:8 pouhých 61 sekund pred koncem. Po dalších 65 sekundách vsítil Milan Garcar vítezný goal.
   Hráci Tatranu se pravidelne úcastní reprezentacních utkání a dosahují úctyhodných výsledku v statistikách souteží, at se týká kanadského bodování nebo hodnocení brankáru.
  Z hrácu, kterí prošli Strešovickým družstvem, pripomenme trojici Juraj Šádek, Vladimír Fuchs a Petr Darmek, kterí s týmem získali každý 10 mistrovských titulu. Z dalších jmenujme napríklad Radima Cepka, soucasného hráce pražského rivala z Chodova. Na trenérském postu se po nekolik sezon úspešne objevoval i bývalý trenér národního výberu Zdenek Skružný.
  Do nové sezóny družstvo nastupuje s osvedceným trenérským vedením v podání Jana Zahalky. V brance pravidelne nastupuje jeden z nejzkušenejších brankáru u nás Tomáš Kafka vyhlášený v roce 2006 nejlepším brankárem sveta. Z hrácu v poli potom bez debaty stojí za zmínku hráci jako Milan Garcar, chladnokrevný obránce a specialista na trestná strílení využívající své zkušenosti ze švédské nejvyšší souteži, Johan von der Pahlen, švédský šlechtic hrající za Strešovice, Milan Fridrich, kapitán mužského A týmu (a zároven i reprezentacního družstva CR), výborne technicky i fyzicky pripravený hrác.
   V nové sezone se do boje o další titul vrhne v dresu Tatranu i mnoho mladších hrácu (za všechny jmenujme Patrika Dóžu a Marka Vávru) stejne jako i dva hráci z Finska (Jaakko Hokkanen a Jere Liljenbäck).

  Pokud by se v nekom po prectení listingu zrodila touha videt tohle všechno na živo, tak není nic jednoduššího než se podívat na rozpis zápasu a jít se podívat na extraligový zápas. Vstupné nebývá vysoké. Zápasy jsou vetšinou alespon jednou za týden a casto bývají o víkendu. Prehled zápasu Tatranu najdete zde.

   Jedná se o keš seznamující s ceským florbalovým svetem. Umístena je nedaleko hlavního vchodu, který je videt na fotografii.
   Cache samotná je kovová krabicka o kousek vetší než energitka. K odlovu není treba žádných speciálních pomucek. Navzdory klidné lokalite se ale muže stát, že vás neustále nekdo pozoruje, takže je potreba být opatrný pri vyzvedávání a ukládání. Odlov se dá pojmout jako jednoduchý drive-in. Pri opetovném ukládání dbejte na to, aby cache zustala dosažitelná i pro ty, kterí prijdou po vás!

   Floorball was introduced to Czech Republic in the year 1984 thanks to students of Helsinki University, who came here for an educational stay. Finns took a set of floorball sticks, which were used in the first match between Finns and Czechs ever, which held place in the gymnasium of Prague University of Economics. When the students had to go back home, they decided to leave those sticks here, so the very first era of Czech floorball could start. A group around Michal Bauer and Petr Chaloupka had been training their skills until they destroyed donated sticks. In those days it was impossible to buy new ones, so the floorball had to be forgotten for few years.
   After the Velvet Revolution, when the borders reopened, the second attempt to play floorball in our country was taken. It was much more successful and it started in 1991. Vaculík brothers with cooperation with travel agency Excalibur Tours imported brand new equipment from Sweden in this year. Thanks to this, floorball started to develop a lot here; especially in Stresovice, a Prague district, where the cache is hidden. A floorball club was established attached to local sports club TJ Tatran Strešovice. A afterwards the original students from the beginning started to play again.
   Next great milestone for Czech floorball was when players of Stresovice went to Hungary, where they had their physical training. They brought back home real floorball side boards. Due to this it was possible to start playing first real tournaments and league games.
   In year 1993 the first year of floorball league had been played and during next few years this fast game spread into other parts of the Czech Republic, especially to Ostrava, Liberec and Brno.

   Floorball club Tatran Strešovice is from its beginnings connected with Vaculík brothers, who were mentioned before. Today it is formed from more than 500 players in 22 teams. The variety of team categories here is huge. From men's A team through youth and children's to teams playing league for disabled. Teams of Tatran Stresovice are regularly taking part in European Champions Cup, final stages of Czech Floorball Union Cup and many more local or international tournaments.
   From further activities of Tatran I'd like to mention annual organising of prestigious International Floorball Tournament Czech Open, where the best teams from all around the world are competing since 1999. Of course there are similar tournaments for youth (called Prague Games) and for veterans (called Prague Masters).
   During history of league competitions won players of Tatran Stresovice 28 master titles of Czech Republic. Men's A team won 14 of all 18 years of the highest floorball league. In the last season's final series Tatran beat FBC Ostrava in very exciting matches 3:2 after crazy results of each match T vs. O (2:3 9:7 4:6 6:5 and 9:8). Interesting fact about this serie is that three times the Tatran won they were losing until last 7 minutes of the game. In the last match Tatran was losing 3:8 and 61 seconds before the end of regular playing time they tied the score to 8:8. After 65 seconds of extra time Milan Garcar scored the victorious goal.
   Players of Tatran are regularly playing in Czech national team and reach honourable results in league statistics.
   From players, who went through Tatran team, I want remind trio Juraj Šádek, Vladimír Fuchs and Petr Darmek, who won with Tatran 10 master titles each. Further memorable player is Radim Cepek, who is contemporary player of local rival from Prague quarter Chodov. As a coach for few successful years took his part Zdenek Skruzny, former head coach of our national team.
   Into the new season there is well etabled coach Jan Zahalka. As a regular goalkeeper plays Tomas Kafka, one of Czech most experienced goalkeepers ever, who was voted for the best goalkeeper of the world in the year 2006. From field players I'd like to mention Milan Garcar, coldblooded defenseman and an expert for penalty shots, who had just returned from Swedish highest league, Johan von der Pahlen, Swedish playing in Tatran, Milan Fridrich, captain of men's A team (czech national team also), superbly technically and physically prepared player.
   In the next season there will be playing also many good junior players in the A team (for example Patrik Dóža and Marek Vávra) and also two more players from Finland (Jaakko Hokkanen and Jere Liljenbäck).

  If someone after reading this listing would like to see those guys live, there's nothing easier than visiting one of extra-league matches. Entry fee is not high. Matches are usually played at least once a week and mostly on weekends. List of Tatran matches you can find here.    It is a cache tribute to Czech floorball. The cache is hidden not far from the main entrance of Tatran Strešovice Sports Centre, that could be seen on the picture.
   Cache itself is small metal box. There's no need for special equipment to find it. In spite of calm area around you can still be watched, so be very careful when taking out and hiding. The cache is a drive-in. When putting back on its place, take care, so next cachers would be able to take it out again!
   Inside is a logbook, a pencil and sharpener and for FTF there is a bonus of a key dangler with Tatran logo.
