This is our first cache. Cache is located in a historical area that is marked by a plaque on a boulder. Stop and read about it. Located just off of the NYS Thruway it should be an easy park and grab.
The plaque reads:
A.D. 1904
This tablet marks the site of the post at Ramapough or Sidmans bridge.
Erected by the Ramapo Valley Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in honor of the officers and soldiers of the Revolutionary War who were stationed here from 1776 to 1781.
The cache is a small green, cylindrical plastic container that will hold small items. There is a log and pencil, keychain, bandaids, chapstick (unused, of course), braclet and some bubbles. Hope you enjoy the hide.
