Our family has spent some very enjoyable hours fishing around this island, with swimming and tubing filling the bill when fishing was slow. I remember playing "Crack the Whip" in my teens at a night-time skating party on the north end of the lake. In the winter you will be able to walk, or drive to the island. BE CAREFUL AND AWARE OF ICE CONDITIONS. IF YOU ARE NOT CERTAIN, PLEASE STAY OFF THE LAKE. In the summer you will need a boat or other watercraft. The cache is on the island - not on the shoreline or edge of the ice.
