Deze multi-cache bevindt zich in en rond een mooi natuurgebied vlak bij het kanaal Dessel-Schoten
en leid je aan de hand van 10 WP’s rond in dit gebied (+/- 5,5 km).
Het Goorken is gelegen ten oosten van het centrum van Arendonk, langs het kanaal Dessel-Schoten.
De naam Goorken is afgeleid van “goor”, wat moerassig beekdal betekent. De Wamp, een bijriviertje van de Kleine Nete, stroomt dwars door het reservaat.
In het Goorken komen verschillende biotopen voor: open water, moerasbos, weiland, hooiland en heide.
Veel watervogels voelen zich hier uitstekend thuis. In het Goorken lopen het hele jaar runderen en paarden rond, die helpen bij het beheer van het landschap.
Tijdens je tocht ga je op zoek naar 10 metalen ringen met telkens een letter en een cijfer.
Op WP10 vind je naast een metalen ring een micro met de cache formule.
Vergeet deze niet te noteren, stop de koker met de formule weer netjes weg.

This multi-cache is located in the neighborhood of a nature reserve close to the channel Dessel-Schoten

“Het Goorken” is located east of the centre of Arendonk, nearby the channel Dessel-Turnhout-Schoten.
“Goorken” has been derived from “goor”, what can be translated as “swampy area”. The Wamp, a small river which sprouts in the nearby area, flows in the middle of the neighborhood.
Many different biotopes can be spot like: swamps, pools, grassland, hay fields and heath lands.
Aquatic birds are feeling at home in “Het Goorken”. Throughout the year, horses and cattle help to maintain the landscape.
During your journey, you have to find 10 metal coins, each containing a letter and a number.
At WP10 you need to find, on top of the metal coin, a plastic container containing the cache formula.
Don’t forget to write down this formula and nicely hide the container back at its original spot.
