Geocache Description:

Ready for some more night-time monkey business? Eat some bananas and bring your flashlight to Fruitdale Park in Wheat Ridge. You will need to climb a difficult tree to retrieve this cache. Bring something to step on or a friend to give you a leg up.

This night cache starts out easy, but gets hard. Flat ground, and a crushed gravel walking path. Follow the trail of reflectors by holding your flashlight next to your ear, so the light gets reflected back to your eyes. The cache is hidden up a tree that's marked with multiple reflectors.

When you locate the tree, you'll need to climb it. (Which is why this cache gets a difficult terrain rating.) Gloves may be handy if your hands are delicate. The cache is about 15 feet off the ground. You're looking for a camo Pill bottle. Please return the container to the same "hook" you found it on. (If it's not replaced properly, wind could blow it down.)

Log only. BYOP.

NOTE: This cache is as difficult to retrieve as the one at Anderson Park (GC1J8ZM). It does require arm strength, since your footing isn't secure -- the lower branches have been removed by groundskeepers. It might help to bring a D-handle garden shovel or a 3-foot length of 2-by-4 wood to lean against the tree trunk to make your first "step" more secure.

As you climb the tree, say hello to someone who did eat his bananas:

Don't' stop now. Another Night Cache: Dark Double-header (GC1KN66) is only a short stroll away. It's a bit easier. I have placed several other night caches in this part of town -- all within a short drive of each other. Make a night of it.

Night caches on this side of town include: GC1K9ZK, GC1KN66, GC1J8ZM, GC1HVQC, GC1K9EQ, GC1K85T. Enjoy!
