Launching just before Christmas so we can wish you all a Very Merry
Christmas and A Happy New Year through the Geocaching Site!
Wednesday 28th January 2009 at 7pm
We thought we would plan our first event in January - a good
time to set New Year Geocaching Resolutions!
Why the end of January? To give people time to recover from the
Christmas and New Year celebrations and give everyone something to
look forward to during these Winter months of reduced caching time
- oh we hate the early nights, (dark afternoons and evenings)!
The venue is "The Barn", which is a Beefeater restaurant with
bar, and is situated approx. 1.5miles from M42, Junction 4 on the
Stratford Road (A3400) towards Stratford.
Another informal event to give cachers, "old hands" and new a
chance for a chat, a drink and maybe a bite to eat - everyone is
welcome.
If you haven't been to an event before these are great ways to
meet and put faces to the names you see in the logs. If you are
new, don't be shy, there are no cliques and everyone will make you
welcome.
The management know we are coming and have kindly allowed us to
use the area to the far right hand side of the bar as you walk in
the main doors - on a slightly raised area in the corner.
If you require food, there are bar snacks available and a more
comprehensive restaurant menu too.
Allow plenty of time for geo-chatting, coin and TB discovery or
swaps.
There is no need to pre-book food but we have promised to give
them an idea of numbers so please log your intentions as soon as
possible.
See you there.
