Geocache Description:

Part 1 of a visit to the Honey Wolves new habitat

The U.S Fish and Wildlife Service has relocated the Honey Wolves from Southbury CT to Bridgewater CT where there is more abundant and approppriate habitat replicating a Northeaster Deep Forest. The cache and Wolves are now located within the Sunny Valley Preserve along the Blue Trail in Bridgewater and they tour the forests here daily so don't be surprised if you see them or hear their howls in the distance.

After the cache you can pick up the white trail and exit the red trail if you want to do a short loop.

There is a great deal of wildlife here including many deer, coyotes, turkeys, hawks, pileated woodpeckers, foxes, the dreaded Connecticut Swamp Boar, the Leopluradon and many others. NOTE of SAFETY: We recommend that you avoid engaging the Dreaded Connecticut Swamp Boar (The most reviled of all Connecticut Wildlife) A mother bear may attack you if she thinks you are a threat to her cubs but the Swamp Boar will attack you for no reason at all (unless of course you are a Honey Wolf). The trails provide views and access directly to Lake Lilinonah. How did Moonfox miss this?
