GeoCraig: Returned from vacation to see that the sign has been removed. I'm sorry that the cache is gone, but glad to see that the sign is history.

Geocache Description:

First of a series attempting to fill in the gaps between Downtown LA caches.

A Hide-a-key, in clear view

This cache is located on a very small island between Sixth Street and Fremont Avenue. Someone had the not-so-bright idea of putting an ad sign here that blocks the view of on-coming traffic. No accidents that I know of yet, but I still hate the placement of the sign.

Directions:  Please note that Sixth Street is one-way going East. Fifth Street, one block north of the cache is one-way going West. Figueroa only goes north.  Best way to approach cache from the south is to take Figueroa to Fifth, left on Fifth, then immediately left on Fremont.  The cache is at the end of the street.

From the east, take Fifth past Figueroa, then turn left on Fremont.  Parking is sometimes available on the west side of Fremont Avenue.
