[LV] Senos laikos laudis attalumu merija olektis, pedas, verstis utt. 1 verste ir 1067 m. Ik pa verstei uz nozimigakajiem Cariskas Krievijas celiem uzstadija akmens verstu stabus. Padomju un atmodas laikos daudzi no tiem nonaca izgaztuves vai saka rotat privatmaju teritorijas. Tacu vel šobaltdien Vidzemes novada lauku celu malas var redzet verstu stabus, kas ka memi liecinieki stasta par pagajušiem laikiem, kad pa celiem gaja vientuli gajeji, brauca pajugi, karietes, virzijas armijas kolonnas...
Verstu stabs atrodas Cesvaines Jaunpiebalgas cela mala noraditajas koordinates. Lai atrastu slepni, ejiet no verstu staba Cesvaines virziena ~ 100m un cela labaja puse meklejiet lielu koku ar dobumu vidu.
3 verstis Jaunpiebalgas virziena ir velviens verstu stabs. Nepilnu km Cesvaines virziena redzams Gremu kalns. Savulaik ap 1990. gadu tur atrastie 17. gs. apbedijumi izjauca planus buvet kalna liellopu fermu.

[ENG] On ancient times distance was measured in cubits, feets, versts etc. 1 verst is equal to 1067 meters. After every verst there was placed one stone verst post on the main roads of tsarist Russia. During soviet and awakening times many of them became a part of dumps or private houses but there are still some left near the roads in Vidzeme, witnessing with no words about former times when alone wayfarers walked there, carriages and carts with horses were driving and army were passing by in huge colons…
Verst pole is located near the road Cesvaine- Jaunpiebalga at the
given coordinates. To find the cache go from verst pole in direction
of Cesvaine about 100 meters and search for big tree with hole.
3 versts in direction of Jaunpiebalga there are one more verst pole
and about km in direction of Cesvaine You can find Gremu hill. On
1990ties there were found burials from 17th century and it rushed the plans to make a neat farm on that hill.
