ENG: Cache is located on Ramnieku bridge some cm under the road surfacing. Already before 2 WW were plans to build a bridge in this place – in 1940 all the materials were collected for building the bridge – but with beginning of 2 WW and government changes came decision not to built a bridge, but to have here a ferry.
Ferry service turned out to be unprofitable, so there was built a small cable bridge for pedestrians.
In 1995 due to increasing traffic in this region was opened metal construction bridge for cars in width of one lane. On the concrete blocks placed metal constructions were bought from former USSR army, which used these metal constructions for transporting military equipment over the river.
To reach the cache place you do not need special equipment. Clothes for change could be useful.
