Geocache Description:

A two stage multi cache in Fahnestock State Park

Sticks and Stones may break your bones but a little challenge will never hurt you! This is a two stage multi cache starting on the red trail off route 301. The first stage is a small tube hidden in something that matches the cache name in which you will find the coordinates to the second, the second is a 8 by 6 by 4in water proof box......... The total hike there and back is about one and three quarter miles........... There is another cache Dead Red which you can do on the way to the final stage if you choose to do so. You can probably do this cache and the other along the way in a little over an hour or so, depending on how fast you find the hides and how fast you walk........... I made the terrain rating a three because there are some moderate up and downs along the way and the trail is pretty rocky and moss covered in spots........ This cache has N.Y.S. Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historical Preservation permit number 06-08 for Fahnestock State Park........ There was a lot of bounce at the final stage, when you get in the general area you"ll know where to look. There should be a pen and pencil in the cache but is always a god idea to bring your favorite writing utensil just in case......Enjoy your hike, be safe and have fun!
