Geocache Description:

A simple cache placed at the most southerly point in Cheshire, right on the border with Shropshire. The cache is a drive-by with parking very close to where you need to be.

Nearby is Shavington Park - Shavington Hall was desribed as one of the finest brick built houses in the country. It was built in 1685, with renovations in 1858 and was subsequently demolished in 1958. The stables, laundry and gas house all remain, along with some estate workers cottages. The platform the Hall once stood on is still there, but it is an area not usually open to the public.
