A short hike on the Red Trail in Fahnestock State Park right off
Route 301
A nice little walk on the Red Trail in Fahnestock State Park.
Access to the Red trail is on Route 301. There is a post with a red
marker on it right on the south side of the road. Parking
coordinates are below. Parts of the trail are rocky and covered
with moss so watch your footing. And if you happen to go after a
rain storm there might be as many as four small streams to rock hop
across. The cache itself is a foot long three inch tube, please put
it back as you found it and make sure it is closed up tight!. There
is a pen and pencil in the cache but it is always a good idea to
bring your favorite writing utensil just in case. This cache is
plum in the middle of my multi cache
Sticks and Stones so you might as well do them both if you've
come this far Have fun and enjoy!. ..............Cache has NYS
Office of Parks,Recreation, and Historical Preservation permit
number 05-08
