RUA MIGUEL
BOMBARDA
design, musica, etc.
Já
começaram as obras de requalificação desta rua. O projecto -
elaborado no ano 2000 - da autoria do arquitecto Filipe Oliveira
Dias, prevê transformar-la numa zona pedonal.

Miguel Bombarda street is
known by the merger of several galleries of art. For Cedofeita
starts at the street, in the parish of the same name, and ends in
Rua da Boa Nova, already in Massarelos. On this street you will see
art galleries, clothing stores and alternative design, the sushi
restaurant, tailor, grocers and so on.
HISTORY
The current "street of
galleries," was called before 1910, of Prince Street, in honor of
the future king John VI, prince regent during the illness of her
mother, the Queen Mary I. The street already figure in the Planning
Round of Black (1813), but still sparsely populated houses and even
without reaching for Cedofeita Street, which ends today. In 1839 it
was torn in all its present length and with a greater number of
buildings, except the section near the street for Cedofeita that
only came to receive houses from the mid-nineteenth century. With
the deployment of the republic in 1910, the street was renamed with
its current name in honor of the distinguished physician and
forerunner of the republican regime in Portugal, Miguel
Bombarda.
At present, Miguel
Bombarda Street is a culture of the arteries of the new era,
bringing together dozens of art galleries that in the first
Saturday of each month, simultaneously launch its new exhibition,
attracting crowds of lovers of art , Investors, artists, followers
of alternative ways of life and many curious. The street also has
restaurants, bookstores and shops: the retro-cool furniture,
decoration of choice, design, music and so on.
Already started work on
upgrading this street. The project - established in 2000 - created
by the architect Filipe Oliveira Dias, provides transform it into a
