This cache is a well deserved difficulty 4 terrain. There are easier ways to make it atop this rock bluff so take your time and look around, there are also very difficult and dangerous routes. You have been WARNED, please exercise caution. Enjoy the commanding view of the water.
This is the first cache I have placed in my new series “Bluff It” There will be more soon if you like this type of terrain. The cache is an ammo container placed a few meters back from the edge. Log book and typical swag inside. Cache should be available in winter, unless there is a huge amount of snow on the ground in which case you should not be climbing around the rocks anyway. You have been WARNED again.
When you leave the uptown peninsula of Saint John, head east and follow the Red Head Rd. along the shore which is tinted the color red from the clay. This area is generally referred to as Red Head. Farther along the coast is Mispec Beach and Cape Spencer, were there are more caches and spectacular views.
