bacalhau: Yesterday I was there and I was shocked. I don't think that this was done by geocachers, but often the place is used by (drunken) youngsters who like to do vandalism. It doesn't make sense to keep that cache any longer. I'm sorry to say that. Will think about another location to place a cache.

Vale do Ribeiro Frio

Short after we arrived on Madeira and decided to stay here, we discovered this spring with its fantastic water.
Since that time, we have been driving regularly up to Ribeiro Frio to provide us with fresh water. ItŽs one of the best water to drink, to prepare coffee or tea or to smooth your whisky.

You can often see Madeirense people picking up their water there. Therefore drive slowly and carefully.

You will find the spring directly at the road between Ribeiro Frio and Poiso Pass. Combine this route with a visit of Ribeiro Frio and its nice levada walks.

Cache is placed a little bit beside the spring. See encrypted hint and spoiler photos. Because of the rocks, GPS data were not 100 % exact. Some nice photos of you, picking up water, would be nice.
