This really is a cache in the wilds. Proper walking gear should be used ie boots,waterproofs,provisions etc. Easy to get caught out with the weather. Allow a good 4'ish hours to get there.
The preferable route is through Burnhead Farm and follow the forestry road until the road splits after 2.3k ( see ref. point ), take the right fork, this leads onto a quad track. Follow this track till just before crossing the river, break right and follow the arrow, keep to the higher ground with the river on your left.
Please note the cache is not in the visitors ammo box but you will find a hint there.

Wreckage is quite substantial and well worth the walk. The plane has been identified as a Douglas B-26 Invader and crashed mid august 1956
It crashed on a ferry flight to Free French Air Force for use in Indo China . It was flying to France via Iceland and Prestwick.Reported as instrument failure as cause of crash??
Both American crew were killed: Pilot Edgar J Flannagan and Nav. Wayne A Taylor.
