SideTracked - Bristol Parkway Station Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Mad H@ter: I have just been notified by the last finder that they were muggled and cache was taken! As we no longer live in the area it is difficult for us to maintain so I am sadly going to have to archive it.
Many thanks for all the visits and lovely logs.

Geocache Description:

This is intended as a quick cache and dash side-track for Bristol Parkway station.

About SideTracked We have Motorway Mayhem. We have A-Road Anarchy (cos there aren’t many Motorways in Wales!). But what about public transport users? SideTracked Caches are intended to provide quick Cache-and-dashes at Train Stations. SideTracked started at Evesham station on August 10th 2007, placed by schnarff & bikermel76. It took a while to get started, but is now spreading across the country! It is hoped this idea will spread across the country in the same way as the MMs….but if hiding one PLEASE BE SENSIBLE and remember that in this day and age, public transport is under greater scrutiny than ever before, so, although these caches should be quick and easy grabs, PLEASE don’t place a Cache where it could cause alarm!!! (Particularly, please ensure that you aware of the new rules of 04/09/08 before hiding your Cache!) Bristol parkway station. Well what can you say about it? I know what I'd like to say about it but I won't, this being a family site. Bristol Parkway is apparently the 212 most used station in the UK, which isn't bad for what in effect a glorified bus shelter. It was build in the 1970s to serve as a way of speeding up the London to Wales route, as the north side of the city is on a more direct line to the Severn Tunnel. Getting to Parkway: Apart from the trains which stop here; Parkway is served by buses from Bristol town centre and outlying suburbs, and is tangentially connected to the ring-road cycle track. If you're coming by car, then the best place to park is in the station short-stay drop off car park (free for 20 minutes). As per all stations, the density of muggles varies so you will need to pick your time. Notes: I've upped the difficulty to 2. Kudos to Captain Gore-Tex for the FTF.
