Geocache Description:

Everyone is welcome to meet for Coffee, Cookies, and Caching Catch-Up from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2008! (Oh, and if you like you can come early for the FTF rodeo from 7:30AM to 9:00AM. More info below.)

We'll be meeting at

Minneapolis, MN 55414

It's at the corner of 6th and University (up the hill from the Stone Arch Bridge). The shop has high-speed internet so that you can plan your post-event geocaching route.

At 9am (after the FTF rodeo) join us for socializing, visit the travel bug table, and peek at others' pathtag and geocoin books!

I'll bring some games for the kids and muggle spouses who don't want to talk caching. I may even bring the metro quiz that I brought to last year's event, GC178R9.

Don't forget to bring the kids!!--I'll bring some kid-friendly games for those who wish to play AND I may even have some to give away!

We'll also have a cookie exchange--if we get enough folks to bring them...

(...otherwise we'll just have to eat them at the event). If you'd be willing to bring your cookie specialty and put three or six of each in a baggie, we'll find a disorganized way to trade them around. ; )

Finally, we'll have a white elephant gift exchange

Save up the treasures that you’d normally ditch at the thrift store! These gifts could be gently used, new, unwanted, loved, re-gifted, and/or hideous... it's your choice; it's the perfect time to dig through your cabinets and downsize before you buy the real holiday gifts. (Please label the gifts with age ranges [0-4 years], [5 to 12 years], and [adult].)

I look forward to sharing time with friends--new and "old" over coffee, cookies, conversation, games, gifts and fun!
For those of you who are early birds and FTF hounds, join us from 7:30AM to 9:00AM for the FTF Rodeo! Hey cachers, here's your chance to score a FTF!! Join us for the FTF Rodeo. Subscriber or not, you have a chance for these FTF's!
  • On the day of the event we will enable a bunch of brand new caches in the area
  • At 7:45 am everyone present will be entered in the FTF drawing
  • FTF Drawing winners will get cache assignments at random
  • FTF Drawing Winners are free to do whatever they want with their cache listing: you can trade, collaborate with others, even sell them on Ebay!
  • Drawing winners get a 30 minute head start to find their FTF
  • At 8:15 am, all new caches are available for distribution, and caches will be officially published on the Geocaching website.
So far we have 9 new caches, but there are plans to add more, so stay tuned. Let me know if you would like to contribute a new cache listing to the FTF Rodeo!
