[LAT] Puiškalns un Kalkupes ieleja - puscela no Dundagas uz
Gipku atrodas viens no dižakajiem Ziemelkurzemes pilskalniem.
Pilskalna platums ir 30x80 m, ta DR gala ir 4 m augsts valnis. 23 m
augsto Puiškalnu no trijam pusem norobežo dzilas
Kalkupes un Mazupes ielejas, zemesraga nogazes daudzviet
izveidojušas stavas smilšakmens klintis. Kalkupes
ieleja ar daudzveidigo gravu reljefu un smilšakmens kraujam
ieklauta dabas lieguma.
Slepnis atrodas uz stavas pilskalna nogazes virs
smilšakmens atseguma. Slepnis atrodas uz tada ka dabigi
veidota “balkona”! Slikta GPS signala del koordinates,
iespejams, nav visai precizas un ir loti aptuvenas (kluda ~8m).
Kalna nogaze ir stava un var but ari slidena, tapec esiet
piesardzigi! Slepnis paslepts neliela smilšakmens atseguma
fragmenta, kura izveidojusies tada ka ala!

[ENG] Puiškalns and Kalkupes valley – there is one
of the eminentest castle mounds of the North-Kurzeme on midways
from Dundaga to Gipka. Width of the castle mound is 30x80 m. On the
SW part of the castle mound there is a 4m high bank. The 23 m high
Puiškalns is confined from three sides with deep valleys of
Kalupe and Mazupe rivers. There are a lot of sandstone outcrops on
the escarpments. Kalkupe river with varied valleys and sandstone
outcrops has included in the restricted area of nature.
The cache is located on escarpment of the castle mound above the
sandstone outcrop. The cache is located on natural
“balcony”! The coordinates could be quite imprecise
(accuracy ~ 8m) because of bad GPS signal. The escarpment could be
quite slippery so be careful! The cache is hidden in small
sandstone outcrop – there is a hole that reminds a small
cave!

Be gentle to nature – don’t scrape the sandstone and
don’t forget that this is a protected area!
