Small film canister sized cache located besides the path on Maine Road. A few years ago Manchester City's stadium would have stood here but it has moved and in its place stands a construction site for a school and new houses. Some plonker decided to call it 'The Maine Place'.
I’m placing a string of Micro’s around Moss Side in South Manchester.
Typically a cache leads you to a place of peace or wonder in a pleasant part of the world and these cache’s bring you to my hometown. Recently Moss Side was shown on Channel 4’s ‘Secret Millionaire’ program as one of the most dangerous and deprived parts of the UK. The program was filmed in the precise location of some of these cache’s.
I wouldn’t say it’s the exact polar opposite of those lovely cache’s you find along quiet canal tow paths, but they aren’t intended to show the wonder of suburban living either! This is just where I live and these are my cache’s, nothing more.
I hope you find hunting for them an interesting experience. They’re all micro’s and I think they’re all hidden well in surprising places. You’ll need to bring a pencil as the cache’s are all too small to contain their own. You are looking for a small film canister sized cache.
I feel entirely safe and comfortable in these cache sites and have no issues with encouraging others to come and find them. Just use your usual discretion regarding muggles around cache sites and don‘t worry about being in Moss Side and it‘s reputation.
Anyway nobody messes with geocachers, we know all the best places to hide a body!
