Geocache Description:

Bring your own pen/pencil for this cache series in Hampshire County, WV. These are cache and dash containers that should take you longer to drive to than find. For some of the finds, you may need something to help you reach if you are 'vertically challenged'. All locations have places nearby for pulling safely off the road but please be careful and watch out for traffic.

Hampshire County is the oldest county in West Virginia with the oldest incorporated town, Romney, as the county seat. Originally part of Lord Fairfax's Northern Neck Proprietary, the land was first settled in the second quarter of the eighteenth century.

Please take a photo of yourself entering/exiting the county to build a gallery for our visitors. Enjoy your visit to this beautiful county.
