This Flash Mob gathering of geocachers will be only 15 minutes
long. You MUST be present and sign the log sheet DURING this time
to claim this event. After 15 minutes … we're gone!
This event is be one small part of the WWFM IV (World Wide Flash
Mob event) coordinated and in conjunction with the San Diego WWFM
IV hosted by
iTrax and FoxTail, but since Australia is some 17 hours ahead
of Pacific Standard Time, rather than holding our event
simultaneously with the US event at 0500 on Sunday morning this
event is at a much more user friendly time
The meeting point is outside the front of ANZ Stadium
(Homebush).
Come along with your running shoes and dressed up as your
favourite sports star, sports team, or as yourself.
Approximately 10 seconds before 10 am I will blow a whistle and
everyone will converge on the grey line in the photograph
below.
At the stroke of 10 am we will race around the stadium. The
distance is approximately 1200 metres and can be completed in under
10 minutes if you walk quickly.
As you pass the finish line, a volunteer will hand you a
numbered 'log slip'. Use this slip to fill in your details and hand
it to the volunteer at the Olympic cauldron across the road.
We then meet in front of the Olympic cauldron for a photo at
10.13am, log sheets will then be collected and we all disperse at
10.15am.
Immediately after the photo, a prize will be awarded to the
fastest cacher around the stadium - including the honour of FTF.
Random prizes will also be awarded for those not so fast.
