baechti: War heute wieder einmal im Babental und habe den Cache besucht. Leider ist die Dose nicht mehr zu finden. Ich denke auch dass dieser Hohle Baum als Behausung für kleine Tiere dient. Desshalb habe ich entschlossen den Cache nicht mehr zu ersetzten.

Vielen Dank an alle die hier vorbeigeschaut haben.

DEUTSCH
Parkieren kann man bei N047°44.820 E008°31.017. Hier hat es einen mit Schildern und Wegweisern ziemlich überladenen Pfosten. Der ist ein gefundenes Fressen für Geocacher und Mathematiker. Aber wir wollen uns ja erst mal etwas entspannen und weil einige Geocacher vieleicht beim Restaurant Parkieren, oder gar nicht motorisiert sind, ignorieren wir diese Datenflut einfach.

STAGE1
Die kleine Tour beginnt bei diesem Wegweiser nahe der "Jagdhütte Brüggli". Er befindet sich am Waldrand ca. 800-900m östlich vom Parkplatz.

Schreib hier die beiden Zahlen vom Jagdaufseher auf. Der arme Johann Schnetzler wurde seinerzeit von einem Wilderer erschossen.

STAGE2
Weiter geht's in Richtung Ost bis zur nächsten Kreuzung. (ca 600m) Hier ist Franz Leser der Bruchpilot verewigt. Schreib seine Daten auf und suche dir einen bequemen Platz zum Zahlen Sortieren.

Beim Geburtsjahr des Jagdaufsehers lass die letzte Ziffer weg und setzte dann die erste Ziffer an die zweite stelle. (eine dreistellige, symetrische Zahl) = A

Wie alt wurde der Jagdaufseher? = B

Wie alt wurde der Pilot = C

Wie alt war der Pilot als der Jagdaufseher erschossen wurde? = D

Du hast nun den Wegpunkt für STAGE3:
N047°44."B*D+D" E008°31."A"

Wenn du damit dein GPS fütterst, sollte es nun einen Punkt in knapp einer halben Meile Entfernung und den Kurs 214°(S/SW) anzeigen. (vorausgesetzt du bist immer noch bei dieser Abzweigung)

STAGE3
Das Terrain wird nach der Kiesgrube etwas schwieriger. Wenn du den richtigen Weg nimmst kommst du zur Babental Quelle. Die Quelle ist durch eine Tür am Ende eines kurzen Tunnels verschlossen.

Zähle die T's auf dem roten Schild. = E

Da steht auch eine Postleizahl, nimm die letzten 2 Ziffern. = F

Die letzten 3 Ziffern der Telefonnummer vom Restaurant Babental. = G

Die Koordinaten für STAGE4 sehen so aus:
N047°44."(G+D)*E" E008°31."E*G-F"

STAGE4
Hier am Waldrand hat es einen kleinen Aussichtsturm.

Aus wievielen Brettern ist das Dach? (ohne die 2 Querbretter) = H

Und so gehts zum etwa 100m entfernten cache, eine kleine offizielle "Geocache Box":

ENGLISH
Parking is available at N047°44.820 E008°31.017. Here is a post overloaded with signs and markers. It is a real gift for geocachers and mathematicians. But we want to relax a bit first and because some geocachers may park at the restaurant directly, or don't have a vehicle, we simply ignore this data flood.

STAGE1
The little tour starts at this signpost (picture above) near the hunting lodge "Jagdhütte Brüggli". It's located at the edge of the forest about 800-900m east of the car park. Note here the numbers of the gamekeeper. The poor John Schnetzler was shot by a poacher some time ago.

STAGE2
Continue in direction east until you reach the next junction. Here is Franz Leser the crash pilot eternalised. Note hes data and look for a comfortable place to sort out the numbers.

From the year of birth of the gamekeeper cancel the last digit and put the first digit in second place. (a tree digit symmetric number) = A

How old was the gamekeeper when he died? = B

How old was the pilot when he died? = C

How old was the pilot when the gamekeeper was shot? = D

You have now the way point for STAGE3:

If you feed it to your GPS it should point to a place about half a mile away with a bearing of 214°(S/SW) (if you are still at this junction)

STAGE3
The terrain becomes a bit harder after the gravel pit. If you take the right way you will get to the babental source. The source is sealed by a door at the end of a short tunnel.

Count the T's on the red plate. = E

There is also a zip code, take the last two digits. = F

The last 3 digits of the phone number of Restaurant Babental. = G

The coordinates for STAGE4 look like this:

STAGE4
Here at the edge of the forest is a little look-out.

How many planks make the rove? (without the the 2crosswise boards) = H

And that's how you get to the cache about 100m away. It's a small official "Geocache Box":
