C'est en 1936 que l'on entendit parler
pour la première fois de l'aéroclub de l'Ariège sur la "lane"
d'Antichan. Mais sa création officielle ne date que du 9 mars 1938,
alors que depuis plus de 25 ans déjà, les activités aéronautiques
avaient investi les environs de la ville de St-Girons.Au départ
terrain inculte et bosselé, royaume de la bruyère, Antichan prend
forme sous les coups de pioches des valeureux fondateurs, avec une
première piste en herbe, l'unique hangar atelier mécanique, mais
pas encore d'avion ! Vous pourrez voir comment tout ceci à évolué
pour en arriver à aujourd'hui.
It ‘s in 1936 that we heard for the
first time about the flying club of Ariège on the "lane" of
Antichan. But its official creation dates only of March 9th, 1938,
when for already more than 25 years, the aeronautical activities
had invested the neighborhood of the city of St-Girons. At first
uncultivated and dented ground, realm of heather, Antichan takes
shape under the knocks of pickaxes of the brave founders, with a
first herbed runway , the single mechanical workshop shed, but not
