Geocache Description:

Fairly new trail which is well maintained. A 15 minute walk to make the loop, but it is so interesting, you will want to spend more time here!Suggest parking in the lot just before the entrance to the trail.

We spoke to the lead builder of this trail. He is employed by the village of Norton. This property is all owned now by the village. After the trail was laid out, and stumps, rocks and debris removed, and the design work had been done, 100 ton of shale rock was hauled in to form the base for the trail. This was followed by 100 ton of three-quarter minus limestone to make a great walking trail. It was finished in 2007, and this summer another 5-6 tons of limestone was added to do maintenance on the trail. You can see how much work has gone into the building of this trail. It is so very nice. It is about a 15 minute walk around the loop. It comes out just across the road from your starting point. We suggest you begin on the right side of the road going in. Atv's are not allowed on this trail.

We have placed three caches along this trail for you to find . Enjoy the hike and surroundings!

The last cache of the series (# 3) has a FTF gift..only if you have found the two previous ones!! Yes, a challenge!
