Monkey-Bridge is a bridge laid in Katsura-river in Otsuki City.
It was known as one of "three Japanese strangeness bridges", and it was an important bridge built over Koshu Highway.
It is a new structure called "Bascule bridge" which puts bascule tree on many steps from the overhanging cliff of both banks,
then receives a bridge beam, and it is built dynamic very rationally , and a unique unprecedented bridge in the bridge in Japan afterwards.
Monkey-Bridge is the existing only bascule bridge.

猿橋は、山梨県大月市にある桂川に架かる橋です。
「日本三奇橋」の一つとしても知られ、甲州街道に架かる重要な橋でした。
両岸の懸崖から刎木を何段にも重ね、それで橋桁を受ける「刎橋」といわれる珍しい構造で、
力学的にも非常に合理的につくられていて、その後の日本の橋には類のないユニークな橋です。
猿橋は現存する唯一の刎橋です。
キャッシュは展望台に行く途中にあります。
ペンが入っていないので、持参してください。
