About SideTracked
We have Motorway Mayhem. We have A-Road Anarchy (cos there aren’t many motorways in Wales!). But what about public transport users? SideTracked Caches are intended to provide quick cache-and-dashes at train stations. They should be placed where it will not cause alarm, as in this day and age, public transport is under greater scrutiny than ever before.
For more information on SideTracked Caches, please visit the SideTracked website.
Local information and the Cache
Kingham is a beautiful unspoiled Cotswold village with a large open green and some elegant stone and thatch cottages mostly dating from the 17th and 18th centuries it is situated in the Evenlode valley in Oxfordshire. It is a short drive from the more well known town of Chipping Norton. The village is on the B4450 between Stow-on-the-Wold about 7 miles & Chipping Norton about 5 miles.
The village is unique amongst Cotswold villages, because it is served by a main line railway station about a mile from the village, the mainline railway station provides regular services to London with services operated by First Great Western Link.
The ticket office has limited opening times. There is a bus stop at the station for a bus service to Chipping Norton.
Please make sure you put the cache back as you found it. There is no room for a pencil, so please bring your own.
