Bethovena un Amendas iepazišanas attelota šadi: ,,Mocarta bernu skolotajs Amenda ielugts kada gimene, kur majas koncerta spelejis vijoli. Speles laika kads vinam parškir nošu lapu. Speli beidzot, Amenda atskatas un ierauga, ka tas bijis Bethovens. Jau nakamaja rita pie Amendas ierodas vakara namatevs un uztraukts izsaucas: ,,Ko jus esat izdarijis! Jus esat iekarojis Bethovena sirdi! Bethovens liek jus uzmeklet, lai jus vinu iepriecinatu ar savu klatbutni!" Amenda aizsteidzas. Tiek kopigi muzicets. Kad pec dažam stundam Bethovens pavada viesi uz majam, Amendas dzivokli atkartojas tas pats. Tagad Amenda savukart pavada Bethovenu: vini tomer vel neškiras, un Amenda atgriežas maja tikai vela nakti. Tik spontani uzliesmojusi ši draudziba.

This is the graveyard of the pastor of Talsi parish Karl Amenda. You will not find this name in the history of church or literature - he is not mentioned there. Through this pastor from Kurland is in the range of the immortals - not because of being a good, orator and violonist, but because of being" an accompanist of one of the brilliant composers of the world -Beethoven.
K.Amenda was born in Lipaiki, Kurland in 1771 as a pastor's son. He learned in Jelgava where he also studied music. In Jena he studied theology and music, then worked in West Europa as a music teacher. At the age of 27 in Vienna Amenda meets Beethoven who is one year older than him. Friendship full of youthful enthusiasm and trust sets up. Their acquaintance is described like this: Mozart's children's teacher Amenda was invited in a family for a house concert where he played the first violin. During the playing somebody turned over the sheet of music. After playing Amenda looked back and saw it was Beethoven. The next morning the host arrived and called excited,"What have you done! You have won Beethoven's heart! Beethoven made me find you and enjoy him with your presence!" Amenda hurried. They play together. After some hours Beethoven sees the guest home, in Amenda's flat they play again. Now Amenda sees Beethoven home: but they don't part yet and Amenda returns home late at night. The friendship has burst out.
