Found this trail while exploring another trail, one thing led to another and voila, let's put a cache here! You're on a secret mountain bike trail that the bikers don't want anyone to know about. They've done a good job of keeping the entrances to the trail a little overgrown and maintaining the trail nicely. I doubt they're worried about hikers, they're more likely keeping it a secret from the dirt-bike riders.
From here we (the aquadogs and myself) attempted a bushwhack that was .3 miles long to get to the nearest dirt road. THAT was a bad idea! We quickly found ourselves in a swampy area that turned into a solid 1/4 mile of blackberry bushes. They were yummy but you pay the price if you are wearing shorts. We also had to watch our step since there was bear scat everywhere. Now I'm just happy that we didn't end up getting beaten up by a bear for invading her fridge.
