Gymnázium Kolín Traditional Geocache

Gymnázium Kolín je stredni vseobecne vzdelavaci skola sidlici ve stredoceskem meste Kolín v byvale budove Obchodni akademie z roku 1924. Gymnazium v teto budove sidli od roku 1953, kdy doslo k vymene budov mezi obema skolami.
Gymnazium bylo zalozeno v roce 1872. Skola je statni – neplati se na ni zadne skolne. Pro studenty primy a prvnich rocniku jsou kazdorocne organizovany seznamovaci kurzy a v zime lyzarske vycvikove kurzy, budto v Ceske republice v lyzarskem stredisku Studenov nebo v zahranici v rakouskem stredisku Schladming. Pro studenty 6. a 7. rocniku viceleteho a 2. a 3. rocniku ctyrleteho gymnazia jsou organizovany vymenne pobyty v rakouskem Hartbergu, francouzskem Clermont-Ferrand a holandskem Dongenu. Uskutecnuji se i poznavaci exkurze do Francie, Velke Britanie, a Chorvatska.
Skola ma 16 odbornych uceben, chemickou laborator, laborator biologie, laborator fyziky, 2 ucebny vypocetni techniky, knihovnu, studovnu, hudebnu, 2 telocvicny, hriste s umelym povrchem, vlastni jidelnu a bufet primo v budove. Skola ma také bezplatny pristup k siti Internet.
Na skole pusobi i smiseny pevecky sbor, jenz je znam mnoha oficialnimi ocenenimi. Mezi dalsi krouzky patri vytvarny krouzek a vodni turistika (muzete navstivit vodacke stranky Gymnazia Kolín http://www.gkolin.cz/voda/vodaci2.html).
Gymnazium pripravuje studenty predevsim pro studium na vysokych skolach vsech typu. Dle uspesnosti v prijimacim rizeni uchazecu o studium na vysokych skolach patri mezi skoly s velmi dobrym renome. Podle procenta uspesnosti se radi do prvni ctvrtiny ze 355 ceskych gymnazii.

Grammar school in Kolín is a secondary generally-educational institution resident in former building of Business school. Grammar school has seated here since 1953, when there was an exchange of the buildings between these two schools.
Grammar school was founded in 1872. It’s a state school – so you don’t have to pay any fees. This school organizes the get-acquainted camp for its newly-accepted students every year so that they can get to know each other very well. The school also offers an incredible number of activities. You can become a member of the school’s choir, art club or you can participate in water-training course or ski-training course either in Studenov in the Czech Republic or in the Austrian ski-resort Schladming. Students of the second or third grade may experience the exchange with the Austrian school in Hartberg, with the French school in Clermont-Ferrand or with the Dutch school in Dongen. The school arranges the excursions to France, Great Britain and Croatia as well.
The school has 16 scholar rooms, laboratories of chemistry, biology and physics, 2 rooms of computer technology, a library, a reading room, a room for music art, 2 school gymnasiums, a play-ground with artificial surface, its own canteen and a snack bar in the cellar. There is free access to Internet.
The grammar school prepares its students mainly for their university studies of all types. According to the success rate in entrance exams, this school belongs to the schools with a very good reputation. The percentage places the school in the first quarter of the 355 Czech grammar schools.
