The Starting
point will be at Confederation Park in North Burnaby at the Lawn
Bowling Parking Lot. The first car will leave at 8:45 and all other
cars will leave at five minute intervals thereafter. Each car
will have one team. A maximum of 20 cars will be
allowed. For this reason, we encourage geocachers to carpool
to allow as many people as possible to enjoy this exciting
event.
This is a timed
rally. The team that completes the route in the least amount of
time will win. There will be tasks along the way. Only
a few waypoints will be park and grab. Be prepared to do a
certain amount of walking or running, and yes, even thinking. There
will be penalties and rewards.
By posting a
"will attend" note on this cache page, you will be assigned the
next available start time. The rally will take place rain or
shine. So we ask that you remain committed to participate once you
post a "will attend" note. Please be at
Confederation Park at least ten minutes BEFORE your start
time.
Prize
Donations:
We ask that each team bring a prize no less than $10.00 as an
entrance fee. However, we would be very grateful if the cars that
are filled up donate additional prizes or rally together for a more
extravagant prize. The prize table will depend exclusively on
donations from the contestants themselves.
Dinner:
To help pay for the cost of putting on this elaborate event, we
will be serving BBQ at the final waypoint. For the price of $5 you
will get your choice of:
1 Bavarian Smokie or
2 hotdogs or
2 veggie dogs.
1 pop or bottled water and snacks will be included in the
price.
