El bandito was on pins and needles. He really wanted to get some
ice cream, but la bandita was (as usual) taking forever to get
ready.
“Please hurry, bandita! Our ice cream is getting warm, and we
have to stop along the way to pick up that new cache that is only a
few miles away from being right on the way to the ice cream
store!”
Bandita finished brushing her hair and frantically spun around
the room looking for her wallet and car keys. Finally, she was
ready, and they hopped into the banditomobile. After sticking their
hands into a prickly evergreen and signing a logbook, they arrived
at the ice creamery.
El bandito ordered chocolate.
La bandita ordered pistachio.
The total was $5.12.
El bandito had a five-dollar bill and a twenty-dollar bill.
“Ai, bandita, do you have any spare change? I do not want to
break this twenty!”
As la bandita dug through the lint, candy wrappers, and
partially used store-brand facial tissues in her pocket, eight
other customers ordered their ice cream. Handing a dime and a
