NEW ACTIVITY: Trail Zombie is putting together a timed geocache race. he is hiding a bunch of caches that anyone can race to get. It will be a timed race and can be done on Saturday or Sunday when ever you want during the event hours.

Still looking for more help for the MnGCA info table and temp caches.

 

William O'Brien State Park has been so excited about their new association with geocaching that they wanted to have an geocaching event!

This event will include coffee provided by the park and pot luck donuts and rolls, temp caches, geocaching 101 classes, door prizes, travel bug exchange and an informational table for any one that has geocaching questions. We have the #2 picnic shelter with lights and elect. The event will go for both the 27th and 28th the coffee will be Saturday at 10:00am, Geocaching 101 at 3:00 and temps availible to 4:00. The temp caches and info table will be availble 10 to 4 with Geocaching 101 10:00am Sunday.

William O'Brien SP has had a pathtag designed that will be debuted during the event and will be a prize for finding caches.

I am looking for guest cache hiders and helpers with tpmhe info table from the geocaching community. If you can bring some rolls or donuts to share please let me know in the log.  Keep this site on your watch list for changes.

 

Admission to the park is free!!

At the same time the event is going on, the park is having many other activities so bring your famillies! In the main tent the MnGCA will have a table to answer questions about geocaching. There is a whole list of workshops and demostrations, the first one of interest to geocahers will be the Buckthorn Removal workshop!
