Motte & Lake Traditional Geocache
cptracker: It is with real regret that I have to archive this cache. It has lasted the tell of time and has been enjoyed by many. It's location has some historical interest and would be good for another cache to go in the location. Unfortunatly my job no longer gives me the luxury of travelling to this part of France and I do not visit my friend often enough to be able to reset this cache. I would like to Thanks the French reviewers for allowing me to place in the first instance and wish anyone who places a cache here all the best as it is such a great place to visit. Thanks to all who were involved with this placement. :)

This cache is situated in the Forest of St Sever. The ground is mostly dirt track and suitable for most wheeled methods of transport but alas not wheelchairs.
This cache has been placed near to but not on the Motte in St Sever forest. The grounds of the Forest are kept immaculate and provides an excellent walk around the lake in the little valley area. The footpath is mainly of beaten dirt so I advise suitable footware in wet weather.
Parking can be found at N48.49.720 W001.02.092
The lake is used for fishing and various picnic tables can be found along the route of the pathway.
The Motte is now just a hilly mound with no fortifications remaining but there is a stairway to the summit which renders some nice views across the lake.
Due to the tree coverage I have provided a spoiler photo for use with the cache location. Please endevour to cover the cache so that it is not visible to prying eyes.

Cette cache est située dans la forêt de Saint-Sever. Le sol est, la plupart du temps, un chemin et convient à la plupart des moyens de transport sur roues, mais hélas pas aux fauteuils roulants.
Cette cache a été placée à proximité, mais pas sur la Motte, dans la forêt de Saint-Sever. Le sol de la forêt est immaculé et constitue une excellente promenade autour du lac dans la petite vallée. Le sentier est principalement en terre battue, donc je conseille des chaussures appropriées par temps pluvieux.
Le parking est situé à N48.49.720 W001.02.092
On peut pêcher dans le lac et il y a beaucoup de tables de pique-nique sur le chemin.
La Motte est, à présent, juste une colline sans reste de fortifications, mais il y a un escalier au sommet qui mène à une belle vue sur le lac.
En raison de la couverture par l’arbre, j’ai mis une photo spoiler de la localisation de la cache. Merci de vous efforcer de couvrir la cache, afin qu'elle ne soit pas exposée au regard des curieux.
