Decembra 1981 ob 08:53 je v gosti megli prislo do trcenja letala
DC-9 slovenskega prevoznika Inex-Adria. Letalo je z levim krilom
zadelo vrh velike skale na gori San Pietro in nato
strmoglavilo. V nesreci je umrlo 180 ljudi, prezivelih ni
bilo.
Izhodisce poti je na prelazu Col de Saint-Eustache na cesti
D420.
Do vrha vodi planinska pot, ki je slabo oznacena. Vzpon traja dobro
uro.
On 1st December 1981 at 08:53 there was an airplane accident of
DC-9 owned by Slovene company Inex-Adria due to heavy fog. The
aircraft hit a huge rock of the mountain San Pietro with its left
wing and crashed down. 180 people died, no-one survived.
The starting point is at the pass Col de Saint-Eustache on
D420.
There is a mountain way to the top of San Pietro, but it's poorly
signed. The walk takes about 1 hour.
