The site of the station is now a mobile home park.
Much of the track right of ways are now public trails ,
but, sadly, the actual site of the station isn't.
The old track (recreational trail) seems to dead end into the
trailer park above Lover's Point. A built up right of way continues
through the golf course on the other side of the mobile homes.
The station was in operation from August 1, 1889 until September
15, 1957 (when I was 10).
This cache has been moved a few hundred feet from the train station
site since people looking for it in the bushes OUTSIDE the fence of
the mobile home park disturbed the residents. You will find the
cache near the currently posted coordinates.
From there you can see the "Sally Griffin Senior Center". Take a
walk down Briggs Street just beyond the center and you will be
standing right outside the old train station (see "Additional
Waypoint" below). The train station was actually where the first
few mobile homes are now. Be careful NOT to enter the private
property of the mobile home park. Briggs Street itself is a public
street outside the gate.
The cache contains only a log. Bring your own writing stick!
