O Ave é uma subregião estatística portuguesa, parte da Região Norte. É constituida pelos municípios do sul do Distrito de Braga e 2 municipios do Distrito do Porto limita a norte com o Cávado e com o Alto Trás-os-Montes, a leste e a sul com o Tâmega e a oeste com o Grande Porto. A região é uma das mais populosas e uma das mais industrializadas. Parte da região histórica do Minho é localizada junto da Cidade de Guimarães (berço da Nação).
Área: 1248 km². População (2005): 519 500, o que corresponde a uma densidade populacional de 416 hab/km2.
Os maiores centro urbanos correspondem às Cidades de Guimarães (93 000) e de Vila Nova de Famalicão (30 188).
Compreende 8 concelhos: Fafe, Guimarães, Póvoa de Lanhoso, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Vieira do Minho, Vila Nova de Famalicão e Vizela.
Os municípios da Trofa e de Vizela são dois dos mais jovens concelhos portugueses.
A indústria têxtil e de vestuário dominam o sector industrial da região.

Ave is a subregion integrated in the larger Norte region in Portugal. Is bordered to the north by the subregion of Cávado, to the east and south by the subregion of Tâmega and to the west by the subregion of Grande Porto. It is a densely populated subregion and one of the more industrialized in the country. Part of the historical region of Minho, is centered around the city of Guimarães (the birthplace of the Portuguese nationalism). The subregion has an area of 1,248 km² and a population of (as 2005) 519,500 inhabitants for an overall density of 416 inhab/km².
The major urban centers are the cities of: Guimarães (pop. 93,000) and Vila Nova de Famalicão (pop. 30,188).
It is formed by eight municipalities (or Concelhos): Fafe, Guimarães, Póvoa de Lanhoso, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Vieira do Minho, Vila Nova de Famalicão and Vizela.
The municipalities of Trofa and Vizela are some of the newest to be created.
The main industries of the subregion are the textile industry, clothing and apparel. |

A / The Cache
Esta cache vai levá-lo até junto das ruínas de uma antiga unidade industrial. Esta região é marcada pela crise da indústria têxtil, principal fonte de sustento e de desenvolvimento destas comunidades.
A cache encontra-se junto ao Rio e é recomendável utilizar o waypoint de acesso.
Dentro do contentor da cache, para além dos habituais objectos de troca, está uma folha com um número (junto ao logbook). É necessário anotar este número e o nome da cache para poder encontrar a cache final desta série de 30 caches Lusitani. Essa cache estará localizada em Portugal.

This cache will take you to near an old textile factory. This region is marked by the textile industry crisis. This industry is the most important and the mais money source for this community.
The trail to the cache starts in the waypoint mentioned below and goes at river side.
Inside the cache, besides the usual objects, you'll find a special sheet with a number (attached to the logBook). Please note this number and the cache name. Keeping together all 30 partial caches codes, you'll get the way to find the coordinates of the final Lusitani cache, which is hidden somewhere in Portugal.
