This cache is designed to show you some of the sights of Clermont-Ferrand from two different viewpoints. To start, you can park at one of the many public parking garages. The best location is ‘Poterne-Cathedral’ (N45 46.804 E3 05.132) although ‘Jaude-Vercingetorix’ and ‘Saint Pierre’ are also possibilities.
Step 1
This step can be done on foot. Plan plenty of time to see the ‘sights’ (Cathédrale, Basilique Notre Dame du Port, Place de Jaude, etc.) while you are working on the cache. You will need at least 1 hour to get the cache coordinates.
1) Start the cache at N45 46.687 E3 05.148 There you will find a statue. In what year did this person visit Clermont? 10A5
2) Your next stop is N45 46.627 E3 04.A1A

4) Another short walk to N45 46.C19 E3 05.15(C-2). From here you can see the Parc Montjuzet (the large, green hill). There is a cache hidden there but where is it? A little more walking to find out.

Time for a short trip in the car. Note that step 8 and the cache are inside the park. From May 1 to September 15 the park is open from 7h15 – 21h00. From September 16 to April 30, it is open from 7h45 – 17h30.
