Geocache Description:

Off a dirt road, at a bend in the road, water flows can be quite muddy.

As the Chisholm Trail developed, a small trading post on the north side of the Ninnescah River was established for Texas cattle men who were driving cattle on the trail. The trail crossed the river south of present Clearwater 1 mile south. The Trading Post was located on the site of present McQuillan farmstead{1985}. Ninnescah is an Osage-Souian Indian name. The first part of the name means "water". Variations of the last part of the name includes clear, salt, spring, good, and white water. The name Clear Water for the meaning of Ninnescah has been popularized because of the town's name. Please tell me when log is full so I can replace it. I have permission from Clearwaters City Administrator to place this cache.Do not go onto citys fenched area near by.

I have changed the cache size to a regular AMMO BOX so Kids can come to the site plus people can bring and take Travel bugs to and from.

Congrats to 4AMERICA for the FTF. The Clearwater P.O. is now open.
