Geocache Description:

ORIGINAL PAGE CONTENT PRE 2013 - INFORMATION NO LONGER CURRENT

It really isn't that difficult if you follow the steps below.
My tobe 3year old walked all the way and kinda helped with the clues which is much more fun than decoding the cipher answer below:)

Before you arrive you will need to pull off to the right for a drink.
Whilst drinking take a pen and paper and write down the answers to:

Q1)How many slats in the pump house seat?
Q2)What ".....work" surrounds the southern?
Q3)How many fireplaces at the car park?
Q4)How many picnic tables are there?
Q5)How many decimal steps are there from the lower path to the first landing?

When you arrive at your destination. seek out the info booth.
Kids can tuck into the picnic while mum and dad do the math. You will need to know:
Q6)The fist year of "its"(GW) history?
Q7)The Main length?
Q8)The Main HT?

A=The number of the 2nd letter in the word found in Q2
B=Q5*Q4
C=Q3*Q8
D=Q6-B
D=D/100
D=D-A
"D"=Q7-C

The GPS coordinates should allow you to place the "Authorised access road" at your back and using the road as bearing pointer you should now see a distant picnic table. this bearing is important as you now need to walk towards the table and beyond for approx "D"meters.

Seek ye the cable tree.

BTW did you work out the Caches name?
What question/questions didnt you need?

A revamp of the original cache due to a change in access to the area. A pleasant picnic stroll around most of the lake on a well formed path.

Bostock Reservoir is a gorgeous fishing and picnic destination in Ballan, where stunning scenery is accompanied by visitor facilities. It has a picnic area featuring multiple undercover barbecues and picnic tables that sit along the shore of the reservoir, providing an amazing destination for family fishing trips.  You can catch brown trout, rainbow trout, redfin, tench, carp roach and eels here.  Walking and birdwatching are also poplular.  There is plenty of space for several groups to enjoy the picnic facilities at once.

Please note swimming is not permitted at Bostock Reservoir.  The Ballan Mineral Spring is also located along Shaws Road, just before you reach the reservoir.
