GEGP #7 - Harrison Ford Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Quasar: This cache is gone. I could replace it, but since there's already a munzee there, and munzee is a superior game for an urban setting like this, I'll let it go. RIP Harrison Ford!

Geocache Description:

A brand new bridge over a brand new bypass.

This cache was placed as a part of the Great Eastlink Geocache Project. The Project involved 25 Geocaching Teams from the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne who combined their efforts in July 2008 to create thelargest cache series in Australia in which each cache in the seriesis individually owned by one team.

This new pedestrian bridge links parts of Ringwood now divided by the new bypass. It could be seen as "fording" the great stream of traffic below, as it would have once forded the creek which ran here, and which has now been moved into the newly landscaped wetlands just south.

Or I may have just watched the latest Indiana Jones movie..

Either way, bring your bike and ride each side of the bypass which finally goes somewhere (after going nowhere for about 12 years), or drive along and enjoy one of only two free sections of Eastlink!

Cache is a small key locker. Be careful it doesn't drop when you are retrieving it.

Don't forget to visit the rest of the Great Easlink Geocache Project caches!
