In forests and by roadsides, the bumblebee drinks nectar from flowers and eats honey that it makes. From 1/2 to 1 inch long, the six-legged bumblebee has a black face and a golden-yellow body with a black band between the wings. The bumblebee, which lives in colonies of 50 to 100 bees, can sting more than once.
