FRENCH: Cette cache comme son nom l'indique vous permettra de
découvrir les marmottes mais aussi les alpages avec son troupeau de
moutons et son berger qui y transhument pour l'été.
ENGLISH: This hiding place as its name indicates it will
allow you to discover marmots but also high mountain pastures with
herd of sheeps and shepherd which transhument it for
summer.
FRENCH: ATTENTION faire cette cache en été ou à l'automne car il y
a des risques d'avalanches l'hiver. Joli circuit conseillé aux
enfants marchant un peu. Pour la montée compter 2 bonnes heures
pour arriver à la cache, ajouter le temps d'observation des
marmottes, les arrêts et 1h 30 pour la descente. Circuit très
ensoleillé, partir tôt le matin est conseillé aussi bien pour
l'observation des marmottes, mais aussi pour éviter la chaleur et
la foule. Cette boucle se fait dans le parc National des écrins.
Merci de bien lire sa règlementation affichée sur la place du
village et de la respecter, entre autre les chiens sont interdits
ainsi que la chasse. De ce fait les marmottes ne sont pas farouches
pour la plus grande joie des petits et des grands. Ces dernières
années elles prolifèrent un peu trop et les gestionnaires du Parc
pensent à leur donner une pilule contraceptive pour limiter sa
population. Faire attention à ne pas déranger le troupeau de
moutons et son berger qui habitent tout l'été l'alpage. Par deux
fois le chemin borde un ravin. Faire attention aux enfants
turbulents. Se garer au joli parking ombragé à l'entrée du village
de Prapic (WP1). Sur la place du village en face de l'église se
trouve le panneau de règlementation du parc avec une carte. Prendre
le chemin de droite qui monte dans le village, passer devant une
fontaine, puis à droite vers une autre fontaine et la sortie du
village (WP2). Prendre le chemin carrossable, il grimpe un peu
raide. Arrivé au reposoir surmonté d'une croix (WP3), prendre à
gauche le chemin s'allonge sur le plateau de Charnière qui est
cultivé. Ne pas rentrer dans les champs. Ils sont fauchés pour
faire du fourrage qui nourrit les moutons l'hiver. Ensuite le
chemin monte en lacets. Ne plus faire de bruit : c'est l'entrée du
pays des marmottes. Si une pierre bouge ce n'est ni le soleil qui
tape trop fort ni une hallucination, c'est simplement une marmotte!
WP4: le chemin se divise:A droite il monte directement à la maison
du berger sans passer au dessus des belles cascades du saut du
Laire, il est conseillé pour ceux qui ont le vertige. Prendre à
gauche pour tous les autres ! Après le pont, une fontaine, plus
haut la cabane du berger. Il est possible de faire un pique-nique
avec les pieds dans l'eau du torrent… Contourner la maison du
berger par la gauche et retrouver le chemin pour la dernière petite
grimpette. Le suivre, il va vous amener près de la cache ainsi que
de son point de vue. La descente se fait en suivant le chemin
passant par le plateau de Basset et redescend par les Cotes du
Conte rive gauche du Drac, pour rejoindre le reposoir surmonté
d'une croix. Bonne ballade et un bonjour à … mes amies les

picnic with feet in the water of the torrent … By-pass the house of
the shepherd by the left and find the road for the last small steep
little climb. To follow it, it is going to bring you near the
hiding place as well as near his point of view. The descent is made
by following the road passing by the plateau of Basset and gets
down again by the official lists of the Tale left bank of Drac, to
join the altar of repose surmounted by a cross. Good ballad and one
