A cache near the summit of Mt Chester (3030m).
The cache is just a little down the opposite ridge from where you approach the summit and just a few steps away from where you can look down and see Chester Lake far below. It is a container made of plumbing pipe similar to many summit registers. I had difficulty making this an easy find (which I prefer to do for summit caches) due to the snow on the summit so I apologize in advance.
Park at the Chester Lake parking lot along the Spray Lakes Road. Hike up to the lake and find a path that crosses the creek over a log bridge immediately before the lake. Follow this up to a saddle and then climb up the ridge to the summit.
Before finding this cache please be prepared and use a resource such as Scrambles in the Canadian Rockies by Alan Kane for detailed trail information.
There is a $5 gift certificate from MEC for FTF.
