Geocache Description:

Close to the Riga hydroelectric station.

Riga Daugava HPP is the newest and second largest hydroelectric power plant in Latvia. It was built in 1966. - 1974. and is located 35 km from the river mouth. Hydroelectric power station is equipped with six hydroelectric "Kaplan" turbines.
The idea of building Riga HPP construction goes back to 1910. Unfortunately, it was interrupted by the World War I.

Cache contents a logbook and a pencil.
