Geocache Description:

Cache should be reached by boat. Canoe or Kayak would be best. Look for small bluff near waypoint. Difficulty rating is due to logfalls that go across creek.

This cache does indeed have quite an odd backstory. I think it's been compromised 3 times at least. This time, I'm making it just a bit harder to get to. We'll see how long this one stays out in the field before the ghosts of Orton come to claim their rightful territory.... This is a beautiful paddle through a historic creek. I'm not sure, but I think this creek was used to flood rice plantation land during the 18th and 19th century. You will see canals that were dug long ago if you came the way I did. You will be rewarded with a garden-variety olive drab ammo can when you reach the site. The can is on ground level, and contains a few goodies to get it started. Log your visit, and post here as well. Good luck, and have fun!! Oh...almost forgot....watch out for gators!!
